Descriptions of soil map units arranged physiographically (i.e. according to where it occurs in the landscape)

Immediately behind the coastal rampart in slight depressions but generally flat areas with microtopography due to the presence of coral boulders #

In pockets of flat or very slightly concave areas #

Occurs in intimate association with the shallow phase of the Abatao soils on planar or very slightly concave areas away from coastal rampart or lagoon shore #

Planar or very slightly concave areas away from coastal rampart or lagoon shore #

This soil dominates the areas close to the lagoon edge. #

Usually occurs on relatively higher and stable surfaces #
